Q: Lieber Muho, ich habe eine Frage, der sich Buddhisten bis in die Neuzeit nicht zu stellen brauchten: Wie halte ich es mit der Organspende? Vor 2500 Jahren bestand keine Notwendigkeit, darüber nachzudenken, doch heute, in Deutschland, wird sehr oft – auch emotional – erläutert, dass es zu wenige Organspender gibt. Aus humanitärer Sicht fände ich es tatsächlich eine gute Sache, wenn man mit seinem Ableben noch weiteren Menschen ein längeres Leben ermöglichen kann ... Doch, wenn ich das Ganze aus tibetisch-buddhistischer Sicht betrachte, wo der Sterbevorgang viele Tage (ich glaube über 40 Tage für die geübten und „vorbereiteten“ Mönche) dauern kann ( „normale“ Menschen wohl ausgenommen) und im Alltag in anderen Kulturen einem wohl auch nicht soviel Zeit eingeräumt wird, frage ich mich doch, ob das künstliche Überleben zum Erhalt der „Frische“ der Organe nicht einen groben Eingriff in den Sterbevorgang darstellt. Auch ohne Buddhist oder Christ zu sein, bin ich der Ansicht, dass das Leben und der dazugehörige Körper (Form), das uns zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt (hier und jetzt) ermöglicht wurde (man auch sagen „geschenkt“) Zeit haben muss, sich von dieser Welt wieder zu verabschieden. Die Wissenschaft zeigt ja auch, dass man mit dem „Hirntod“ noch lange nicht „tot“ ist. Gibt es hierzu im buddhistischen Diskurs Stellungnahmen oder magst du deine persönliche Einstellung hierzu erläutern? Ich muss zugeben, dass ich mich entschlossen habe, im und beim Sterben „Egoist“ zu sein, und keine Organe zu spenden. (Ich möchte nicht, dass meine Seele im Bardo herumirrt 🤔)

Q1: Was bedeutet es genau - Zen bringt nix? - Wenn Zen das Ego provoziert, dann bringt es doch schon was, nämlich Provokation.. Wenn Zen als Weg das Ziel ist, dann bringt es auch wieder etwas. Zudem bringt Zen eine Unterbrechung des Alltags, Konzentration, Bewußtsein und manchmal schmerzende Beine ... Also bringt Zen wirklich nichts?

Q2: Sollte man nicht den Satz „Meditation bringt nichts“ mit dem Zusatz versehen: „…aus der nicht-dualistischen Perspektive“?

Q: Wenn „ich“ das richtig verstanden habe, hat Buddha das „Ich“ (lat.= Ego) nach den 5 Skandhas (Pali : khandhas) Die fünf Daseinsformen / als Nicht-Ich erkannt. Auf eine „nichtintellektuelle“ Weise, kann man die Verbundheit mit „Allem“ in der Meditation „selbstlos“ erleben und sich von seiner Vorstellung eines festgefügten Ich‘s loslösen. Das ist kein esoterischer Hokuspokus... Für mich heisst das:“ Das Ich existiert und existiert nicht (nach bestimmten Betrachtungsweisen des Buddha) .

Buddha hielt uebrigens nicht viel von der Idee, dass wir keinen freien Willen haben:

"[Makkhali said]: “There is no cause, either proximate or remote, for the rectitude of beings; they become pure without reason and without cause. The attainment of any given condition, of any character, does not depend either on one’s own acts, or on the acts of another, or on human effort. There is no such thing as power or energy, or human strength or human vigour. All animals, all creatures (with one, two, or more senses), all beings (produced from eggs or in a womb), all souls (in plants) are without force and power and energy of their own. They are bent this way and that by their fate, by the necessary conditions of the class to which they belong, by their individual nature: and it is according to their position in one or other of the six classes that they experience ease or pain. ...Though the wise should hope: ‘By this virtue or this performance of duty, or this penance, or this righteousness will I make the karma (I have inherited), that is not yet mature, mature’—though the fool should hope, by the same means, to get gradually rid of karma that has matured—neither of them can do it. The ease and pain, measured out, as it were, with a measure, cannot be altered in the course of transmigration. there can be neither increase nor decrease thereof, neither excess nor deficiency.
